Regulatory Functions - Preparation and publication of Regulations under relevant Acts.
- Amend/Update relevant legislation.
- Process requests/recommendations to obtain/issue licenses to import restricted items.
- Offer consultative service/advice on domestic trade/consumer affairs.
- Implement trade facilitation programmes such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
Marketing Functions - Conduct of Trade Fairs and Exhibitions.
- Gathering and processing of market intelligence on price and market movement of essential food and consumer items.
